Waiting On Wednesday||❤

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
 This week is..........
Carry On
By Rainbow Rowell
Publication Date: 6th October 2015
23734628
(Goodreads)
Rainbow Rowell continues to break boundaries with Carry On, an epic fantasy following the triumphs and heartaches of Simon and Baz from her beloved bestseller Fangirl.

Simon Snow just wants to relax and savor his last year at the Watford School of Magicks, but no one will let him. His girlfriend broke up with him, his best friend is a pest, and his mentor keeps trying to hide him away in the mountains where maybe he’ll be safe. Simon can’t even enjoy the fact that his roommate and longtime nemesis is missing, because he can’t stop worrying about the evil git. Plus there are ghosts. And vampires. And actual evil things trying to shut Simon down. When you’re the most powerful magician the world has ever known, you never get to relax and savor anything.

Carry On is a ghost story, a love story, a mystery and a melodrama. It has just as much kissing and talking as you’d expect from a Rainbow Rowell story — but far, far more monsters.

Why Am I Waiting This Wednesday?
*Has a moment of dramatic silence for this book*.........IT IS HERE, IT IS REAL, IT IS REAL!! Rainbow Rowell is one of my favourite authors and just looking at this makes me fangirl (get the reference?)

• Grab your current read

• Open to a random page

• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page

• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)

• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

'He looked into my eyes and seemed to understand that I was only one step up from being a maid myself. That wasn't the reason for my worry, but it did seem strange that a lottery was the difference between someone like Anne and me.

Creative Blogger Award||❤

Thank you to my beautiful friend Abbie @Afro Bee Beauty for nominating me for this! Thank you so much, love you!!

The Rules

  • Nominate 15-20 blogs and notify all via their social media/blogs
  • Thank and post the link of the blog that nominated you (very important)
  • Share 5 facts about yourself to your readers
  • Pass the rules on to them

My Facts
  1. I can play 4 instruments. My main ones are Violin and Voice which I spend most of my time doing and the ones I do not so seriously are the Piano and Guitar.
  2. When I was younger my best friend flushed my hat down the toilet, I found it hilarious but my mum didn't think otherwise.
  3. I have an obsession with butter. I will literally lather my toast in butter then spoon out some butter so I can dip my toast into it, I know it is sooo weird!
  4. I am obsessed with Netflix and so watch around 4 TV series at once. I will literally sit in my bed all day finishing a series and I will only leave for snacks an food.
  5. This blog is the longest blog I have updated regularly and used. I have had others years ago but I never bothered to use them, then my friend introduced me to booktube at first but I didn't want to do that specifically so I started a blog instead!
I don't like nominating specific people but I'm leaving this space open so feel free to do this tag and just comment below if you want to do it as I would love to hear about it!

Liars Inc.
By Paula Stokes
Publication Date: March 14th 2015

Max Cantrell has never been a big fan of the truth, so when the opportunity arises to sell forged permission slips and cover stories to his classmates, it sounds like a good way to make a little money and liven up a boring senior year. With the help of his friends Preston and Parvati, Max starts Liars, Inc. Suddenly everybody needs something and the cash starts pouring in. Who knew lying could be so lucrative?

When Preston wants his own cover story to go visit a girl he met online, Max doesn’t think twice about hooking him up. Until Preston never comes home. Then the evidence starts to pile up—terrifying clues that lead the cops to Preston’s body. Terrifying clues that point to Max as the murderer.

Can Max find the real killer before he goes to prison for a crime he didn’t commit? In a story that Kirkus Reviews called "Captivating to the very end," Paula Stokes starts with one single white lie and weaves a twisted tale that will have readers guessing until the explosive final chapters.

The Sisterhood Blogger Awards||❤

The rules for this are pretty simple:
1) Thank the blogger that nominated you and link back to their site
2) Post the award's logo on your blog
3) Answer the 10 questions you've been asked
4) Nominate 10 bloggers
5) Set 10 new questions for your nominee

Thank you to the amazing Anna @Enchanted By Us for tagging me!!

1)What inspired you to start blogging?
I've always had a couple of blogs beforehand and they were horrible. They were mainly of me doing posts every couple of months with really bad quality photos. I then started a beauty blog which I did manage to keep but it wasn't my thing, I had a fashion blog which only lasted a while and then my friend told me about book blogging. I was quite unsure but I soon found myself posting more and I found a hobby I really loved!

2)Are your family avid readers
My parents do read quite a lot and were the ones who encouraged me to read more, my sister is not a big fan of reading, my brother reads once in a while it's usually James Bond or the Hobbit and stuff like that, my oldest brother loves to read! He is not really fiction but books about politics

3)How many books do you on average read in a month?
On average I read around 5 books a month! Sometimes I read more but I try to concentrate more on the content and pick out the details for my reviews.

4)Where do you read?
I mainly read in my room sitting on my bed, sometimes I sit down on the sofa with the tv playing softly in the background and sometimes when I eat my breakfast, my mum doesn't agree with reading at the table though!

5)What do you do if you fall into a reading slump?
What I would do is re read a book which really made me smile and if that doesn't work I wouldn't force myself to read but I would take a break and somehow read some short stories. There is always Wattpad to!!

6)What genre do you want to read more from?
Definitely sci-go because I have started to t even more and fantasy and paranormal because they have really caught my attention this year!

7)Do you review every book you read?
No, sometimes it isn't necessary and I read the most random books all the time like One Direction Annuals from 3years ago!

8)How do you rate book?
To get an exact rate on my books what I do is I make notes in my notebook on the book I am reading whilst reading it. After writing the review I look over my notes and give a rough rating from them, I usually do stars but I might change it to bookworms!

9)What's your favourite quote from a book?
As he read, I fell in love the way you fall asleep;slowly and then all at once-The Fault In Our Stars

10)What was the last book you gave 5stars to?

I don't actually remember as Iam quite picky when giving out 5 stars now but I think it was for The Coldest Girl In Coldtown.

Thank you again Anna for tagging me in this! I tag ANYONE to do this tag, feel free to answer my questions!

1)What is your favourite thing about blogging?
2)If you could be any character in a book for a day who would you be?
3)What are your book turn offs?
4)Who are your favourite bloggers?
5)What other interests do you have other that reading/blogging?
6)Who is your favourite author?
7)What is the frontiers book cover you have seen so far?
8)If you could only read one genre for a year what would it be?
9)Do you ever judge a book by its cover?
10)Team Edward or Team Jacob? (I just had to add this question.... :D )

Seven Deadly Sins Tag||❤

Hi guys!
This week I decided to be more active with my posts my doing something everyday this week! (it's half term by the way). So today, as the title tells you, I am doing the Seven Deadly Sins Tag. I was tagged by Anna @Enchanted By YA.

Greed - What is your most expensive book? What is your most inexpensive book?
Most Expensive: The truth is that I have never actually bought a really expensive book for myself. It is usually gifted to me but it might have to be The Naughtiest Girl in The School box set when it was still £50 which is actually quite cheap for a set of books.
Inexpensive: This is quite a babyish one,Princess Mirror Belle, but when I was younger my primary school used to hold a mini fair every year and I picked out a book. It ended up being around 20p. Also, my local library  has this thing in the children's library where you can by books for around 30p, it is usually the ones which no one takes out but they do actually end up being some good books.

Wrath - What author do you have a love/hate relationship with?
I do really have to copy Anna on this one and say the Divergent Trilogy, I kind of liked the first book, the second one had me sleeping a bit and the third book had me banging my head against the table, I didn't even get to complete the series! I do love the concept though.

Gluttony - What book have you devoured over and over with

no shame?
This would have to be Harry Potter and The Chamber Of Secrets. I always stumble across this book every single summer and I can literally recite the whole thing now.

Sloth - What book have you neglected due to laziness?
I had a copy of the Mortal Instruments series and I keep on wanting to start it but new books which I love to read keep on popping up on my bookshelf! I still can't find the time to read it!!

Pride - What book do you talk about in order to sound like an intellectual reader?
Any classic book or I start to mumble about the allegorical meaning of George Orwell. Or the techniques Jane Austen uses to create a tense atmosphere!

Lust - What attributes do you find attractive in male or female characters?
I do love the bad boy characters who have a soft spot. The ones who have a hard shell but a soft inside- like a ferrero rocher.

Envy-What book would you most like to receive as a gift?
A Thousand Pieces Of You! Can this come to my doorstep all ready!
This was actually a really fun tag to do!!  As you can notice haven't actually tagged anyone.

I don't like tagging people because I don't know if the have already done it and I don't want to look pesky!

Naomi...xxx

The Ten Book Challenge||❤

I was tagged by Anna @enchantedbyya so thanks for that!
The Rules are:
List 10 books that have stayed with you in some way. Do not take more than a few minutes, and do not think about it too hard. They do not have to be the "right books", or great works of literature, just ones that have affected you in some way. Paste these instructions and tag 10 friends, including me, so I can see your list!

Fault In Our Stars by John Green:
This book was the first book which made me cry my eyes out, it was so heart-warming and I didn't expect much from it. It surprised me so much and I have read it so many times!

Witches by Roald Dahl:
What a classic book, right? Roald Dahl's books were one of the first proper books I ever read. It brings back the memories of repeatedly reading them although I had read all of his books multiple times. This book is so funny and was so interesting that I actually thought these witches were real and would look out for women wearing pointy shoes!

Harry Potter by J.K Rowling:
These books are brilliant! I am addicted to this whole story and I just wanted my acceptance letter to Hogwarts! It is a brilliant series which made my imagination go wild and I love it.

Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging:
This book is life to me! I have never laughed so much in my life!! I loved how it fit my personality, I fell in love with all of the characters and I just wanted to be friends with all of the characters! I was crying and helplessly clutching my stomach whenever I read the series!

Gossip Girl:
I feel guilty for even liking this series! It is just so addictive though.... I am obsessed with America and Ivy League Universities and things like that and it makes me want to jump into that the life. I must add it was very melodramatic but I just loved the gossip and I found myself whispering all the time 'you know you love me, xoxo, gossip girl'

Skulldugery Pleasant:
This books is legendary! A skeleton who is a dectective, what more would I want?  A brillant primary school/middle school read! Absolutely loved it to bits.

Journey To The River Sea:
An absolutely beautiful book. I love Eva Ibbotsons books and it was just so beautiful to read when I was younger.
The Naughtiest Girl Series by Enid Blyton:
I told my mum I wanted books for christmas when I was around 7/8 years old and my my gave me a fresh boxset of this whole series! I was delighted, it made me want to join the school, I always dreamed about being a part of it and was my childhood dream. I must add in that I would've rather gone to Whyteleafe than to Hogwarts!

The Secret Garden:
I have read this book so many times! I can literally recite all the chapters but the weird thing is that wh(enever I read the book I think about it differently every time I read it.

The Wizard Of Oz:
This book is absolutely brilliant! It takes me to Oz and after reading it I never wanted to enter the real world. I could compare the classic film to the book as I read along. It was playful and brought had me smiling from ear to ear.

So guys, this is my top ten, I hope you enjoyed it and I apologise so much for not posting this week or even last. With all the workload being pushed on me and I have to read another classic book, keep a reading journal (only for select classic authors e.g. Robert Louis Stephenson, James Joyce, Jane Austen etc.) keeping that up is hard, my music exams are in two months and I still have to learn my violin pieces, I have to keep my artwork at a high standard, I am working on my composition for music, I have stuff to do for Religious Studies, science work and a whole lot more to keep up with so please bare with me! I am extremely sorry and I will try and post at least once or twice a week but feel free to tell me your blogs so I can interact with the people who actually view my blog. I am not prepared to sit through detentions so I am trying to get all of my work and blog done and around 1 hour 30 minutes it spent on doing my instruments and music theory. Also I am sticking to reading at least 1 book a week or even 2 if I haven't collapsed on my bed at night already!

(Not tagging anyone btw!)

Naomi...xxx
