Free Classics On Wattpad||❤

Hi Guys,
Today I want to talk about something exciting I found of Wattpad. You may think that it is a place for badly written fanfictions but to surprise you all, Wattpad actually has Classic books for free. Yep you read that write for free!

It has books from authors such as Jane Austen, Robert Louis Stevenson, Charles Dickens, Charlotte and Emily Bronte and many more! I was so surprised when I found these so now I can read these books without paying for them when I'm on the go. Also they even have some Shakespeare!

Here are a few: (Click on the names for links)

That is not where it all stops, they also have Romeo and Juliet, Dracula, Little Women and many more. Be sure to check this amazing stuff out. I swear I am not sponsored by anyone but I just want to share this little secret of mine with the book community.

Music I Listen To Whilst Reading (#2)||❤

Hi Guys,
I haven't done a post about listening to music in a while so I decided to share with you some of the things I listen to whilst reading.

Today will be a bit different as I have two artists to show you. One is a late-romantics composer and the other is modern.

Jean Sibelius Violin Concerto Op. 47 in D minor
A fun fact about me is that I am very much into Baroque and Romantics music. Sibelius is one of my all time favourite composers and I love to follow the sheet music sometimes when I listen to it, of course when I am not reading. This was infact the only concerto he wrote. A concerto is basically when one instrument plays a solo and the whole orchestra accompanies it. It takes a whole lot of music theory to work out different parts of the piece and it has 4 movements.

  1. Allegro Moderato-meaning moderately fast and is the dramatic part of the piece.
  2. Adagio di molto in Bflat Major- This is basically the slow part of the music and is brilliant
  3.  Allegro, ma lo tanto in D Major- This is the finale of the piece! It repeats some segments of the first piece and is a great ending to a brilliant piece.
Although it may look like a bore, check out some 'classical' (in inverted commas because technically it is romantics but people label it as classical) music because it actually not that boring plus it over excites me when I talk about this kind of stuff. I was about to go into relative majors/minors, harmonic scales and tempo changes but I will spare you your time.

Daughter
If you are looking for an indie and acoustic sound, Daughter is the band for you. Whenever I listen to their music I instantly get chills and it just brings me joy. It also makes me feel chilled out and I love to listen to them whenever I want to block out any sound surrounding me

I hope you guys enjoyed this post! Feel free to share what music you listen to when you are reading with me!

Favourite Series Finales Featuring The Writing Duo-SBPT||❤

Hello everyone,

We’re Sarena and Sasha, twin sisters, teen authors, and book bloggers over at The Writing Duo. We’re so excited to be here to talk about our favourite series finales! We love series, especially when they’re done right with a perfect last book. Here is our list:

1.  HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS. Because it’s Harry Potter—how could you hate that ending? Although I could’ve done without one of the characters’ deaths…

2.THE LAST OLYMPIAN by Rick Riordan. The ending the Percy Jackson series was awesome, especially with the epic spin-off series! We wouldn’t say Blood of Olympus was as strong a finale as The Last Olympian, though.

3.VICIOUS, THE GOOD GIRLS, and SEVEN MINUTES IN HEAVEN all by Sara Shepard. These three series finales (lasts books in the PLL, Perfectionists, and Lying Game series) were all amazing endings that tied the series’ off well!

4.THE DEATH CODE by Lindsay Cummings. We both read this in May/June and loved it. It was full of adventure, mystery, and plot twists… definitely one of the best dystopia series finales ever.

5.CLOCKWORK PRINCESS by Cassandra Clare. If you did not feel all the feels while reading this book, are you even human?

6.ABHORSEN by Garth Nix, the series finale to the Old Kingdom series. Sabriel is one of Sarena’s favourite books, and she loved Abhorsen as well! A great high fantasy series for all!

7. DREAMS OF GODS AND MONSTERS by Laini Taylor, aka the goddess of YA. Like, seriously. This series is fantastic and so unique and you must read it if you haven’t! DoGaM was the perfect ending.

8.THE WRATH OF MULGARATH by Holly Black. What an epic series finale to the Spiderwick Chronicles. Sasha might’ve even teared up a little. Maybe.

Thanks for having us, Naomi! It was lots of fun. :)

Sarena and Sasha Nanua are teenage twins living in Mississauga, Ontario. They love reading books in their spare time and enjoy science fiction and fantasy novels. They have been writing books since they were nine years old. The Gemstone is their first novel.

The Death Cure-A Book Review||❤

The Death Cure
By James Dashner
Publication Date: April 5th 2012
Rating: 1/5 stars
The Trials are over. WICKED is planning to restore the survivors' memories and complete the final cure for the Flare.

But Thomas has already remembered more than they think. And he knows WICKED can't be trusted...

The time for lies is over. But the truth is more dangerous than Thomas could ever imagine. Will anyone survive the Death Cure?

My Thoughts

I am extremely disappointed. This is not how I really wanted to start my review. I thought the first book was alright, loathed the second and I wanted to burn the third. The Maze Runner is probably one of the most overrated series I have ever read and I think I just read it for the sake of reading the series because it had films coming up. I don’t want this to be a review where I just bash the series completely but let me just explained why I didn’t like this book so much.

Thomas, Thomas, Thomas. Yes you face claim is Dylan O’Brien but I still don’t like you. Thomas was annoying, indecisive, he didn’t know what he was doing and he cared a bit too much. I am all for characters who care about their friends but I swear this guy would jump into a volcano in hope of finding his friends and burn to death. He just made all the wrong decisions, he thought that he was above everybody else and used that stupid Glader’s slang a bit too much for my liking. I can’t even explain how much he aggravated me and his fake ‘I’m going to try and be a leader and I’m going to try and be better that everybody else because W.I.C.K.E.D love me kind of act.

Also I didn’t really get the point of anything happening in this book. Yes, you hate W.I.C.K.E.D and you do want to take them down but why did everything just happen at once. Some characters were put in for the sake of things and I felt like kicking Brenda in the face (sorry if I  do sound oddly violent) I want to scream at Thomas “BRENDA WAS DOING THINGS BEHIND YOUR BACK YOU USELESS TWAT, WHY ARE YOU STILL FRIENDS” I think I mainly didn’t like this book because of decisions and I felt like it ended a bit on a stupid note.

If I carried on with this review then it would literally be a novel so I just want to say that I didn’t actually enjoy this series because I thought that it was poorly written and thought out. I don’t think that I will be reading anymore books from this author. Sorry James Dashner but this series is a no from me :(

Everything Everything-An Arc Review||❤

Everything Everything
By Nicola Yoon
Publication Date: September 1st 2015
Rating: 5/5 stars
*e-Arc was sent in exchange for an honest review*
My disease is as rare as it is famous. Basically, I’m allergic to the world. I don’t leave my house, have not left my house in seventeen years. The only people I ever see are my mom and my nurse, Carla.

But then one day, a moving truck arrives next door. I look out my window, and I see him. He’s tall, lean and wearing all black—black T-shirt, black jeans, black sneakers, and a black knit cap that covers his hair completely. He catches me looking and stares at me. I stare right back. His name is Olly.

Maybe we can’t predict the future, but we can predict some things. For example, I am certainly going to fall in love with Olly. It’s almost certainly going to be a disaster.

My Thoughts...
This book was the definition of phenomenal. I was so into this book I found myself reading this when I was eating breakfast, when I was meant to be going to bed, on the bus! I wanted to finish this book so badly and I haven't read a book which has captivated me so much. It was beautiully written and put together and I couldn't ask for such a mind blowing (in a good way book). I have probably not been so excited to review a book but this one had me hooked in from the start. As soon as I read the synopsis on Netgalley I had to request it and when I was accepted I leapt across the room. Seeing that it was around. Me being me I told myself to wait until July to read the book but I actually ended up reading it in May and loving it!

If I even started to explain the synopsis to this book I will be here for hours and the amount of spoilers would be ridiculous. But I think that the actual synopsis is good enough and you will just have to read into the book to find out more!

Nicole Yoon's writing was exceptional. This is her debut and the way this book was written makes me want to read her books in the future. Nicole, you have just earnt yourself a fan. I can't really put it to words how good this book was. It was filled with love, laughter, tears and pain and it just hit me with the feels. The plot twist near the end of the book nearly killed me  (don't worry I'm fine now btw). It just hit me with a rock and I just wanted to cry and rejoice at the same time but then I just looked liked an emotionally unstable female who cries over a not so emotional part of the book.

My favourite character in the book had to be Madeline's nurse Carla. She was caring, made good food and was genuinely awesome. She let Madeline do things she wasn't allowed to do just to make her feel like a normal teenager and their relationship was wonderful.

Overall. I thought that Everything Everything was an fabulous read which I will definitely be recommending to all of my friends.

An Interview with The Tattooed Biblio-SBPT||❤

Hello guys, today I am interviewing the wonderful Lauren @The Tattooed Biblio who is a big book blogger and it is a very exciting oppourtunity!

How do you handle blogging and your everyday life? I usually blog and taking photos for my bookstagram around 1 or 2am. I'm a night owl. Which means I also never get 8 hours of sleep, but I have a sleep disorder so... no one wins this round. Haha.
What is it like to co-blog at one of the biggest book blogs in the book bloggersphere? It's humbling. I've known the co-bloggers for years, especially Jamie. We were the first of the infamous Goodreads Group "College Students." They all have a special place in my heart.
What do you like to do other than blog and read books? I am an amazing backseat commentator for just about everything... when people play video games, when watching movies... the list goes on. My and my little doxie take walks and have a good time with it. And work. Yeah.. just work.
What is one book you loathe? Every book by EL James. That's all I'm going to say or I'll get fired up.
What are you book turn offs? Words spelled incorrectly and grammar mistakes when I'm pretty sure the book has been through countless edits.
How did you start blogging? I discovered the Goodreads groups and community there way before blogging. Then all my book loving friends started blogging and I just hopped on the train!
What are your tips for someone who wants to start a book blog? Do WHATEVER you want with it. It's your blog. You don't have to do cover reveals, host numerous giveaways, or do so many book reviews per week. It's yours. Do whatever the hell you want with it!

Thank You Lauren for being on my blog, it was nice to find out some interesting things about you!
Click for Options Lauren is a tattooed bibliophile with a thirst for literature and the more bookish things in life. She spends her free time with her nerdy boyfriend and her weeny dog. There are too many favorite authors to list, but she enjoys a variety of genres including, but not limited to.. historical fiction, horror, apocalyptic, dystopian, science fiction, fantasy, memoirs, and the classics. She hopes to one day time travel, live in a different country, get a bookish job, and most importantly... own enough bookshelves to hold all of her books.

It's Not Summer Without You-A Book Review||❤

It's Not Summer Without You
By Jenny Han
Publication Date: April 27th 2010
Rating: 4/5 stars
Can summer be truly summer without Cousins Beach?

It used to be that Belly counted the days until summer, until she was back at Cousins Beach with Conrad and Jeremiah. But not this year. Not after Susannah got sick again and Conrad stopped caring. Everything that was right and good has fallen apart, leaving Belly wishing summer would never come.
But when Jeremiah calls saying Conrad has disappeared, Belly knows what she must do to make things right again. And it can only happen back at the beach house, the three of them together, the way things used to be. If this summer really and truly is the last summer, it should end the way it started--at Cousins Beach.

My Thoughts

Here I am again today with another Jenny Han book review. I have currently become obsessed with her and her sweet contemporary reads and I really am excited to share with you guys today what I thought about this book. Han has quickly become of my all time favourites and her books are just so comforting. I finished this book in one sitting as I was drawn to each page.

It’s Not Summer Without You is one of those books which lightly pulls at the strings of your heart. I felt like jumping into the book and slapping Conrad but at the same time hug him because although he is stupid, I still have a thing for the original lovers. It just hit me hard with the feels and I really did want to steer the characters in the right direction. I felt like I was watching a Eastenders minus the crappy weather and pubs.  As always, Jenny Han’s writing style was casual yet original and I really was able to remember parts of the book I didn’t think that I would remember.

Belly did annoy me in this book. Her decisions made me want to bang my head against the door and I felt like she just sounded needy half the time. Another character who annoyed me equally as much was Jeremiah who always just popped up at the wrong times and was just a jealous little boy who needed to stay in his lane. Conrad was definitely who I liked as a character for some reason. He was just a sad boy trying to cope with everything in his life and all Belly gave him was absolute crap expecting him to be her knight in shining armour when in fact he was a normal college boy trying to look after everybody in his family. That was all that kept it from getting that 5 stars Belly and Jeremiah.

Although that was a let back I really enjoyed the story and how it led on. The way that everything was different without some characters but they all ended up sticking together. This was a great summery read which I read mid way through mock exams and it really did help me relax. Overall, I did enjoy this book and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

Symptoms Of Being Human
By Jeff Garvin
Publication Date: February 2nd 2016
The first thing you’re going to want to know about me is: Am I a boy, or am I a girl?

Riley Cavanaugh is many things: Punk rock. Snarky. Rebellious. And gender fluid. Some days Riley identifies as a boy, and others as a girl. The thing is . . . Riley isn’t exactly out yet. And between starting a new school and having a congressman father running for reelection in uber-conservative Orange County, the pressure—media and otherwise—is building up in Riley’s so-called “normal” life.

On the advice of a therapist, Riley starts an anonymous blog to vent those pent-up feelings and tell the truth of what it’s REALLY like to be a gender-fluid teenager. But just as Riley’s starting to settle in at school—even developing feelings for a mysterious outcast—the blog goes viral, and an unnamed commenter discovers Riley’s real identity, threatening exposure. Riley must make a choice: walk away from what the blog has created—a lifeline, new friends, a cause to believe in—or stand up, come out, and risk everything.

Why Am I Waiting On This?
I'm excited abou reading this book as I haven't learnt much about gender fluidity and I think that I would be educated by this book about this subject!!

Burn For Burn-A Book Review||❤

Burn For Burn
By Jenny Han & Siobhan Vivian
Publication Date: September 18th 2012
Rating: 4/5 stars
Postcard-perfect Jar Island is home to charming tourist shops, pristine beaches, amazing oceanfront homes—and three girls secretly plotting revenge.
KAT is sick and tired of being bullied by her former best friend.
LILLIA has always looked out for her little sister, so when she discovers that one of her guy friends has been secretly hooking up with her, she’s going to put a stop to it.
MARY is perpetually haunted by a traumatic event from years past, and the boy who’s responsible has yet to get what’s coming to him.
None of the girls can act on their revenge fantasies alone without being suspected. But together…anything is possible.

With an alliance in place, there will be no more “I wish I’d said…” or “If I could go back and do things differently...” These girls will show Jar Island that revenge is a dish best enjoyed together.

My Thoughts

When I had finished this book I had previously finished The Summer I Turned Pretty and I was looking for a new book to read from her as I enjoyed her writing. When I found Burn To Burn In my School Library I grabbed it and took it out as soon as I saw it as I wanted something different. Burn For Burn was definitely a book I don’t regret reading at all and I loved the sneaky feel to it.

What I loved about the book was the three point perspective from Mary, Kat and Lillia. It showed in the sense of three people all of the events happening and how they really felt towards getting revenge on these people who they used to be friends with but their hatred has built up so much that they are able to seek revenge on them. At first I was extremely confused and then as you get into the book you get to understand these things more. I was like “Why is Kat so rude? Why is Mary so quiet? Why does Lilia let this happen?”.

Although they did have quite bad feelings towards this people I found that the characters were quite sadistic by causing damage to people’s lives like that. Spoiler: Except for the prom queen one of course because it wasn’t that bad. But the other ones caused such bad physical damage that I even was felt disgusted by them for doing such horrible things. It just shows how far people will go to get back on someone and really made the bad people look good.
My favourite character would have to be Mary as she is the silent but deadly character who was a mystery throughout the whole book. I felt so sorry for her and her past and I just wanted to go and hug her because she had gone through so much with no one to help her. What really got me with this book was the ending. I kept on looking for the ‘remaining pages’ when really the book had just finished. I swear that cliffhangers will be the death of me!

Overall, I think that Burn For Burn was a brillant book which I would definitely recommend it you are into revenge type of storys and about going back into your past.
