Magenta Orange- A Book Review||❤

Hi Guys,

I was digging through some books I have and I found an old book of mine with had me in stitches called Magenta Orange. I decided to re-read it after a long time and wanted to do a less childish and what I would think about it now review.
The goodreads description says, "Magenta Orange is bright, sassy, and massively accident-prone. Her neighbour—and nearest thing to a best friend a boy can be—Daniel, tries hard to dissuade her from some of her more impulsive actions, but it's a tough job. Magenta has set her sights on Year 11 heart-throb, Adam Jordan, but all her attempts to impress him are thwarted by a series of mishaps. Adam is convinced she is a jinx and tries to avoid her at all costs—while Daniel spends his time trying to demonstrate his undying affection for Magenta. Will the best man win?"

First of all the cover, I mean this used to scare me a bit. Just a picture of someones teeth, how nice! I didn't think this was necessary at all. It was kind of off putting but I didn't buy it my sister did. So negative points for the cover. The actual book, well I did find parts funny and stuff but it was poorly written. It was hilarious and I'm not going to lie about that but the format was just not for me. The concept of a girl having a crush on an older boy but then doesn't notice that her best friend has a crush on her has been overly used. It is so similar to the Georgia Nicholson series, the concept actually got boring after a while.

I had my favourite parts which I will not mention so I can lessen the amount of spoilers involved in my blogs but I did find it humorous. The classic teenage sarcasm had me laughing because we are/were all guilty of slipping that in whilst talking to parents or teachers.
I would give this book a 3/5, mainly because I found it quite similar to other books and a bit boring but learnt extra points for the well thought of jokes!
Sorry for the short review this week it is just that I'm still searching for a YA book so if you can, comment what books you have heard of or read that would be nice.

Keep Reading,
Naomi...
